So I borrowed my bro’s shiny new Nikon D90 for a day to use it’s D-Movie function. I must say that I’m terribly impressed and jealous with its upgrades from the D80 - which is my current camera! I used my good ‘ole Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 to [...]

This was all shot using a Canon 5D Mk2 camera, using the 24-105 4.0 L & 70-200 2.8 L. I used existing light only. I’ve been a professional still shooter for 30+ years, and this is my first video production. I worked alone on this, using iMovie HD to edit the project.
Shot with the 5D Mark II
Edited throughout the weekend.
Lenses:

Using the 5d2 merlin 28mmPC
Just fooling about rather than concentrating/stressing on good camera technique
I like the pull through the window near the begining and the boom to the feet on the last frame though!
no script of plot or even walkthroughs were done
jump cutting adds extra ‘run n gun’ feel and is intentional !

Edited Final Cut Pro, Graded in color.
Using the new 5D Mark II inside and outside in natural low light in Old Town in Stockholm.
The movie was shot with a 50mm EF-lens, f1,2.
No grading done, under post-production the only change in colour is the simple desaturation of all colours in some parts of the movie. Please comment on this one.

This was my first night out with my new Canon 5D MarkII.
I didn’t get to “understand” how manual control works on video, since there are only workarounds, but i did pretty decent using it in Auto.
PS.No Color Grading was done. Just rough cut and export.

My first day with the 5D Mark II.

A hard wind from the west was blowing out of the mountains and into the Porcupine Hills of southern Alberta. I pulled the truck over, clamped the 5D Mark II to the window and recorded the passing clouds and blowing snow. There wasn’t much color in the scene so, just for fun, I converted it [...]

This is my first shooting with Nikon D90 in very low light. I love this camera especially the option using different lens.

Interviews were on a tripod, the rest was handheld. Everything was shot with the 24-105mm f/4 IS lens (this is the lens, I believe, that comes with the kit).
